Luxury Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in individual modern villas, discretely sited amongst the landscaped gardens and tropical jungle back ground. All villas offer en-suite shower rooms, TV, DVD, air-conditioning, fridge and large private verandas overlooking the ocean. There are no shared rooms. We have two separate types of rooms, Deluxe Villas and Pool Villas. The Deluxe villas have king size beds, dressing area, veranda, and en-suite washrooms. The Pool Villas have a private swimming pool, a huge Jacuzzi tub, a separate living area and bedroom.
On site, there is a large free-form swimming pool with Jacuzzi, a fully equipped air-conditioned gym, a table tennis table, a large screen home theatre, an internet area, a small library, 750 meters of ocean frontage on 32 acres of beautiful jungle setting with plentiful seating and stunning ocean views. Drug & Alcohol Rehab Asia is built on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.
The centre has a perfect west facing location over looking the ocean and unobstructed amazing sunsets.
Comfort at Drug & Alcohol Rehab Asia
There are many people who think that rehab should be tough. It is almost as though addiction should be punished rather than treated. Rehab is tough! But that is the program and coming to terms with the feelings and emotions that have been suppressed by alcohol and drugs: That is tough. It doesn’t mean that the accommodation and setting should be austere too. Our philosophy is that deprivation does not aid recovery and can in fact hinder it.
When a client goes into rehab they are leaving behind a substance that has helped them avoid the issues that cause them pain. Many clients will want to avoid dealing with their pain for as long as possible. Our job is to help the client with this process. If they are fixated on a cold room, bad food or lack of amenities, this can hinder their process.
At Drug & Alcohol Rehab Asia, we believe that offering excellent food, good accommodation and plentiful amenities will give our clients the freedom to deal with their issues without being sidetracked. Rehab at DARA can be a positive experience. The average completion rate for rehab is under 50% (29%-41% in the UK), whereas at DARA we are currently running at 92% completions.
Many clients come here after years of very poor diets, so we offer a superb range of Thai and International Cuisine using fresh food, much of it grown and bought locally. This helps get back their appetites and offers all the vitamins and nutrients you need without having to resort to supplements and pills.
Boredom does not help anyone get better. Our clients have a range of activities from kayaking to swimming to use of our DVD and book library. Learning to relax and make the most of free time is an integral part of recovery. Our setting is beautiful and calming. It may look like a luxury resort, but it is an intensive treatment program. It is tough but only where it has to be.
