Carol Gordon, BSc
Drug & Alcohol Counsellor
Carol is a UK national. Prior to coming to DARA, Carol worked for 13 years in a small, specialized, independent residential therapeutic community in Birmingham as a community manager and clinician.
Carol has extensive experience in working with clients with drug & alcohol issues, Personality Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Psychoses and Dual Diagnosis. She is an experienced group psychotherapist who is particularly interested in using creative approaches to psychotherapy such as art, story telling and role playing.
Carol is in her final year of training as a Transactional Analysis psychotherapist, and has also trained in Integrative Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (IPC). She is a member of the International Society for the Psychological Treatments of Psychoses and the Institute of Transactional Analysis. Carol has a BSc (Hons) in Combined Health Studies (psychology, neurophsyisology) and a MSc in Medical Law and Ethics from Birmingham University.
