Alcoholism in Alaska
In Bethel, Alaska, nearly every night police have to deal with underage teens drinking.
To help combat the problem, some local teens have volunteered to do educational re-enactment videos on the dangers of underage drinking. Teens can easily get alcohol from bootleggers in the area who are more then willing to sell to underage people.
We hear from a Bethel Magistrate Burley, who works with underage drinkers, and follow police on patrol after midnight. A probation officer talks about the intergenerational nature of the problem with alcohol in Alaska.
