Treatment Approach

Evidence-Based Treatment

Desert Hope offers its patients a full continuum of care from detox to inpatient care, outpatient treatment and recovery residences at Resolutions Las Vegas which all utilize evidence-based treatments proven to improve outcomes for patients.

We offer individual and group therapy in all our programs with individual sessions customized for your unique needs and group sessions allowing you to interact with other peers to discuss common challenges you may face in recovery.

Treatment Modalities and Specialized Groups

We offer a wide range of therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the Matrix Model, and dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT) that are based on your assigned level of care, co-occurring mental health disorders, and aftercare plan.

In addition, we provide specialized groups for patients who face their own unique challenges in recovery from alcoholism. We offer tracks for first responders, veterans, gender-specific groups, LGBTQ+ and trauma-focused therapies.

Accommodations

Our hotel-style rooms are equipped for two people and come with full-sized beds, private bathrooms, and housekeeping services. We also have separate floors for men and women and patients can request a private room for an additional fee.

Our amenities include an indoor fitness center, onsite laundry facilities, outdoor fitness activities, art and music rooms, library, and relaxing outdoor patios where you can read, journal or nap against the sound of the soothing fountains.

Kimberly Jolynn Kerr
Kimberly Jolynn Kerr
Clinical Manager

Kimberly Jolynn Kerr is a licensed individual, marriage, and family therapist and earned a Master of Arts in Psychology from California Southern University. During her career she has interned at Marriage and Family Research Institute in CA and Partnerships for Youth at Risk in Nevada. Kimberly's deep-rooted passion for others can be seen in her dedication to encourage, motivate, and bring hope to all her patients.

Denise Dunn
Denise Dunn
Executive Director

Denise Dunn, MA, LADC obtained her master's degree in addiction counseling from Hazelden Graduate School and is licensed as an alcohol and other drug counselor. With over 35 years in behavioral healthcare, Denise Dunn's background includes working with adjudicated youth in youth crisis shelters, working on Federal Office of Treatment Improvement grant projects, and holding positions in substance use treatment facilities.

Tabitha Johnson
Tabitha Johnson
Clinical Director

Tabitha Johnson is a licensed clinical alcohol & drug counselor, marriage and family therapist, an AAMFT approved supervisor and a governor appointed Commissioner on the Nevada Commission on Behavioral Health. With over 11 years of experience, Tabitha's background includes clinical work with children, couples, and families and most recently was Assistant Clinical Director with Bridge Counseling, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Ms. Johnson is passionate about recovery and working with those impacted by addiction.


For Families

Programs

Every other Saturday from 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Desert Hope offers a family day which allows patients and their families to partake in an interactive discussion. Following the programming, patients and families are able to visit with one another separately.

Visiting Your Loved One

With patient consent, every other Saturday after the family day programming, loved ones can visit with patients. During your loved one's treatment, you can also schedule an individual visit with their treatment team.
